Cherry Vanilla Smoothie

Johnny was given an article to read at work. It was about finding things that truly make you happy. Determining what your long term goal are so that you have something to work towards. I think his plans involve us moving to Austin to room with the girls when they go to UT. Are you truly happy now and if not what can you do to change that? Life is too short to not be happy.

Smoothies make me happy! This was delicious. The perfect combination of cherry and vanilla.

1-1/2 cups Frozen Pitted Cherries
1-1/4 cups Fat Free Milk
3 Tbs Sugar
3/4 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 cup Crushed Ice
Whip Cream (optional)

Combine all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

Chocolate Banana Smoothie

Megan got her first pair of designer jeans with some of her Christmas money. One of my friends posted pictures of her daughter wearing her vintage jeans that she had saved from when she was little (Calvin Kleins, Jordache and Gloria Vanderbilts). I thought that was such a great idea! Wish I would have kept mine. So I’m keeping these for her forever.

Since so many of my friends got juicers and I don’t have one, so I’m making smoothies. (but now I want a juicer :(  )  Not too sure if I could handle the detox they are all doing though.

2 cups Frozen Sliced Bananas
4 cups Low-Fat Chocolate Milk
1-1/3 cup Chocolate Sorbet
Optional for topping – Whip Cream & Chocolate Sprinkles

Blend until smooth.

Tropical Smoothie

The other day Megan asked me if she could watch Dr. Phil. I told her it wasn’t on and asked her why she wanted to watch it (because I’ve never even watched it myself). She said “I have noooo idea”. So yesterday when we walked in from school, it just happened to be on. She watched it for a few seconds, said “ehhhh” and opted for her usual post school show…Ellen. Both of the girls have been begging me for months to submit my Glamour Shots photo to Ellen for the “bad paid for photos“. :/ So I finally did it for them to help make up for the birthday fiasco. Here it is, go ahead and laugh…. and yes, that’s an ice cube.

I’m sure Ellen will be calling any minute now so I’m just gonna sip my yummy creamy smoothie while I wait patiently by the phone.

1/2 cup Vanilla Frozen Yogurt
2 Bananas, sliced and chilled
15 oz can Pineapple Tidbits, chilled

Chill bananas and pineapple in freezer for 20 minutes.

Mix all ingredients in blender until smooth.

Creamy Orange Smoothie

Megan had her first ever Cheer Extravaganza yesterday. I was a proud Mommy! She did such a great job.

It kind of felt like a wedding. A lot of preparation and in 3 minutes it was over.

6 oz Frozen Orange Juice Concentrate
2 cups Milk
1 tsp Vanilla
1 packet Truvia
1 1/2 cups Crushed Ice

Put all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.

1/2 cup Strawberries, sliced
1 Tbs Honey
1 cup Crushed Ice

Pina Colada Smoothie

Yesterday my hubby got addicted to the Moonshiner’s marathon. Therefore, so did I. First of all, I would have guessed that Popcorn Sutton was about 102.

 

 

 

 

 

 

When I googled it and saw that he was only 62 I just about passed out. Moonshine and smoking apparently isn’t kind to you. I think I’ll stick to smoothies.

2 1/2 cups pineapple
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup coconut
1 cup ice cubes

Add to blender and blend until smooth.
